Bajel Projects Limited has secured two EPC orders for high-voltage transmission line packages under the WR-ER Inter-Regional Network Expansion Scheme – Part A, strengthening its presence in India’s power transmission infrastructure sector.

The two packages, TL06 and TL02, cover the development of new 400kV and 765kV double-circuit transmission lines designed to strengthen power evacuation and inter-regional grid connectivity.

Under TL06, Bajel Projects will undertake the design, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of new 400kV double-circuit transmission lines connecting Jamshedpur (New) with Ranchi (New) and New PPSP.

The TL02 package involves the construction of a new 765kV double-circuit transmission line connecting Raigarh (Tamnar) to Jamshedpur (New) as part of the second phase of the project.

As per Bajel Projects’ internal classification, inclusive of GST, TL06 qualifies as a Mega order, while TL02 is classified as an Ultra-Mega order. The company has not disclosed the exact contract value of the individual packages.

Together, the projects are expected to enhance power evacuation capacity between India’s Western and Eastern Regions, while improving grid connectivity across Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand.

Bajel Projects Managing Director and CEO Rajesh Ganesh said the orders demonstrate the company’s execution capabilities across both 400kV and 765kV transmission systems and represent one of its largest transmission-line wins to date.

The latest wins come as India continues to expand its transmission network to accommodate rising electricity demand and integrate growing renewable energy capacity. High-voltage transmission corridors will remain critical for moving power efficiently between generation centres and major consumption regions.
