Kalpa Power has appointed Kamlesh Kataria as Chief Growth Officer (CGO) as part of a leadership restructuring aimed at supporting the company’s next phase of growth across India’s evolving energy infrastructure sector. Kataria, who was serving as the company’s Chief Operating Officer, will now focus on strategic growth initiatives, partnerships and new business opportunities.
In his new role, Kataria will be responsible for identifying, incubating and scaling new growth engines for Kalpa Power. His mandate will include strengthening strategic partnerships, developing new business opportunities and expanding the company’s presence across the broader energy infrastructure value chain.
The leadership restructuring comes alongside the appointment of Jabraj Singh as Chief Operating Officer. Singh will oversee project execution, delivery excellence, operational efficiency, safety and customer satisfaction as Kalpa Power expands its operations across Open Access, transmission infrastructure, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and lifecycle asset management.
Kataria has played a key role in building the foundation of Kalpa Power’s business and will now transition his focus from operations to strategic expansion. The company said the move is intended to strengthen its organisational capabilities while enabling greater focus on execution, partnerships and growth.
Commenting on the leadership changes, Rounak Muthiyan, Founder and Director of Kalpa Power, said the company is entering a new phase of growth and that the strengthened leadership structure will help it execute at scale and capture emerging opportunities across India’s energy infrastructure landscape.
Kataria said his focus as Chief Growth Officer will be on developing new growth engines, strengthening strategic partnerships and creating long-term value as Kalpa Power expands its presence across the energy infrastructure value chain.
The leadership transition reflects Kalpa Power’s strategy to build dedicated capabilities for both operational execution and business growth as demand increases for renewable energy, transmission, energy storage and integrated power infrastructure solutions in India.
